Wizards Unite Greenhouse
Wizards Unite Greenhouse

Wizards Unite Greenhouses are special Map locations where you can grow and collect Ingredients for Potion brewing. Greenhouses look like blue glass houses and they are quite distinct from Inns and Fortresses. Greenhouses have a 5 minute cooldown for collecting Ingredients. Greenhouses that are under cooldown have a red flag (🚩) on top of them.

When entering a Greenhouse you will see three pots are presented in front of you, but you can select only one. Swiping up on a pot will select it and reveal the Ingredients you obtained. Greenhouses can also give a small amount of Spell Energy (4).

Growing plants in a Greenhouse

In addition to collecting Ingredients, you can also grow plants at a Greenhouse. In order to grow plants you need to have the appropriate Seeds and Water. Each Ingredient has a different time it needs to grow, ranging from one hour (Snowdrop) to 24 hours (Leaping Toadstool). Be careful when growing Ingredients, as you only have 30 minutes to reap them after they finish growing.

You can also Contribute to plants that are growing at a Greenhouse by casting a Herbivicus spell. Casting Herbivicus will increase Ingredient yield, but it requires you to spend Spell Energy to cast it. Herbivicus symbol is a looks like a lowercase “h” and is easily drawn. Do note that your growing time will not reduce by casting Herbivicus.

Everyone who contributes to growing will receive the full amount of the ingredients yielded. Once the Ingredient has finished growing, it will appear on the ground next to the Greenhouse.

Can you add where we need to collect the grown plants? Will it appear on the map near wherever you are or only in the vicinity of the greenhouse?

do you have to be near the greenhouse every time to collect the ingredients that you planted? what if you are far from that greenhouse?

You must go back to that Greenhouse within 60 minutes of the finish grow time to collect the items from the Map surrounding the Greenhouse.

You said that everyone that contributes Herbivicus to a growing plant will receive the full amount of ingredients yielded. My question is if you did not plant the ingredient but contributed some Herbivicus do you still have to go back to the greenhouse to collect them or will they appear in your inventory?

But how can you get to the rental pots? For the life of me I cannot find them, and the greenhouses around me are always occupied. I’ve been asking around and no one knows what I’m talking about, saying you can only rent pots for potions, not the greenhouse.

I’m wondering if this was in the beta/early release, but not in the final release. Anyone confirm this?

According to the in-game help: “ingredients grown in the Greenhouses will spawn onto the Map and remain available for any player to collect for up to 60 minutes.”

“Everyone who contributes to growing will receive the full amount of the ingredients yielded. “

Does this mean that if I contribute, but I can’t get back to collect in time, I will still get the ingredients?

As mentioned above, no, you won’t. You have to be in the vicinity of the Greenhouse where they were growing.

In other words greenhouse pots are virtually worthless. It is almost impossible for working people to return to the same greenhouse within the timeframe. It’s difficult enough to find an empty put to grow what your want, much less try to meet their stupid return timeframes. Niantic needs to allow it to go to inventory.

If I contribute 35 energy to growing (and nobody else contributes anything), how many plants will there be dropping from the greenhouse? Just 4, as it is a threshold, or will there be something between 4 and 9? in other words, is it just 4 until 49 energy has been contributed and then it jumps to 9?
