Can you take down fortresses together if you are in a different houses?

Yes, House choice in Wizards Unite is purely cosmetic and appears only on your profile and changes the color of your Wizard on the overworld map. Nothing else.

Yes. I think the house choice is puerly cosmetic at this point. Also, you can change houses whenever you want.
