Goblets of Fire and Baby Trolls are just two of the Foundables that will be boosted for this weekend’s Spotlight Event!
The upcoming Spotlight Event in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is a bit like two back-to-back events, since each day has a different theme.
This event takes place of the previously-scheduled launch of the 1920s pages.
Like past Spotlight Events, you can grind grind grind, play casually, or skip the weekend completely. It’s up to you!
Note: Thank you Niantic and WB Games for providing this information early so Wizards Unite Hub could create this event guide.
Boosted Foundables will appear on the Map AND when using a Tonic for Trace Detection.

For clarity, I’ve divided the two days into separate charts. Take note that this weekend will not include any bonuses in Wizarding Challenges.

How to Prepare for the August Spotlight Event
First, look at your Registry pages that feature the boosted Foundables. Which pages are you close to prestiging? Many players still need to prestige Forbidden Forest II, which includes the new Baby Beasts.
If you need any of the Challenge-exclusive Fragments, start doing Wizarding Challenges with the relevant Runestone. For me, I need both the Baby Phoenix on Forbidden Forest II and the Triwizard Cup on Triwizard Maze if I want to prestige those pages to gold. Thus, I will use Care of Magical Creatures Runestones while doing Wizarding Challenges leading up to the weekend. On Sunday, I will use Magical Games and Sports Runestones.
If you aren’t concerned with prestiging this weekend, take note of the pages that are already gold. When you place an Image on these pages, you will earn more Family XP, rank up more, open more Treasure Trunks, and possibly earn more prizes.
Potions Potions Potions
You’ll also want to stockpile a few Potions before the Spotlight Event begins. Focus on the following:
- Extstimulo Potion
- Strong Exstimulo Potion
- Potent Exstimulo Potion
- Baruffio’s Brain Elixir
- Tonic for Trace Detection
- Dawdle Draught
You’ll want several of each of these to maximize the event! That said, I realize your Exstimulo Potions might be depleted after the most recent Adversaries Event. Even regular Exstimulo Potions can help with Severe-threat Foundables, especially if you have bolstered it through SOS Training. These take fewer Ingredients and a shorter brewing time!
If you are a newer player, or you haven’t increased the efficacy of your Strong Exstimulo Potion, you might want to use a few Potent Exstimulo Potions over the weekend. However, I advise most players to save Potent Exstimulo Potions for Adversaries.
Boost your Potions by investing in SOS Training. The following nodes will help your Potions be more effective, so you get additional benefits with less resources.
|CE I,5||Engarde!||Exstimulo Potion Potency Increase|

How to Enjoy the August Spotlight Event
Think about past Spotlight Events. What approach worked best for you then? Or do you have a different goal for this weekend, since the boosts are different? There’s not a right or wrong approach!
If you’re playing casually, just check in whenever you’re able. Use your Trace Charm on any Severe Traces that meet your needs.
However, if you want a strategy for the weekend, you have multiple options.
As already mentioned, you can focus on prestiging pages. As necessary, do Wizarding Challenges to earn the required Challenge Fragments. After you prestige a page, then use your Trace Charm on the Severe Trace for that page.
If you haven’t placed all of the boosted Foundables yet, save your Trace Charm for those Severe Traces! That way, you’ll get more of the Fragments you need.
If you want to earn bonus rewards from Treasure Trunks, then you’ll want to look at your Gold pages. Every time you place one of the boosted Foundables on a Gold frame, you earn 350 Family XP and 35 Ministry Manuals. That’s also 3-4 Treasure Trunks — so 3-4 opportunities to earn Spell Books, Field Charm charges, Gold Gifts, and more, depending on what you’ve unlocked in SOS Training.
Once again, use your Trace Charm strategically to earn more Fragments for your Gold pages. This will help you grind for Ministry Manuals as well as earn rewards from Treasure Trunks.
What do you think about this Spotlight Event? Are you excited for to see new boosted Foundables? Do you have any other strategic tips to add?
