How to Prepare

This Wizarding Weekend (like the previous one) will be very fruitful for many players. Those who are prepared and have been grinding Fortresses for the Hogwarts House Cup, Hourglass, and Owl Lecturn fragments will certainly be ahead of the game! Farming these Foundables (and placing them if you haven’t done so already) will ensure you are able to push your Registry pages to the limit!

Thanks to RIC (Repeat Image Collection), players will be able to easily stack repeat Foundables so prestiging pages becomes less complicated. Each Foundable is now more valuable than before! Make sure to spend time grinding Hogwarts School Foundables this week.

Save up your Tonic for Trace Detection Ingredients to brew Potions quickly during the weekend.

Wizarding Weekend Store Packs

As always, this event includes both a free store pack for all players, as well as a premium store pack. The details are shown below in the infographic provided by our friend Orange Wizard.

Is the SOS Bundle a good deal? Let’s break down the math!

A single Potent Exstimulo Potion in Diagon Alley costs 75 Gold. However, if you have all of the common Ingredients, it’s a better deal to buy 1 Unicorn Hair for 30 Gold, use Master Notes in the Cauldron, and then collect the Potion immediately for 41 Gold. So let’s put the value of Potent Exstimulo Potions at 71 Gold.

Thus 5 Potent Exstimulo Potions are worth 355 Gold.

100 Spell Energy costs 200 Gold.

Calculating the value of Level 5 Runestones is a bit tricky. For a simple number, I’m putting a single Level 5 Runestone at 12 Gold. The reasoning for this comes from Andolov (Gjcerda). You can read his breakdown on Reddit. (He and I disagree on how to calculate the value of Potions, but I like his math for Runestones).

Thus 5 Level 5 Runestones are worth 60 Gold.

The total value of the premium pack is 615 Gold, if you care about Spell Energy. That’s a savings of 135 Gold. Without the Spell Energy, the value is only 415 Gold, less than the price itself.

I have said it before and I will say it again: the Foundables are better than the rewards. I can get all of those things fairly easily, but McGonagall doesn’t show up every day! Maybe that opinion is wrong! If you disagree, sound off in the comments below.

Decreased brewing time for Tonic for Trace Detection. With Master Notes, it will only take 30 minutes in a regular Cauldron. DOES NOT work…. still takes 3.5 hours. tried twice. added to the cauldron AFTER the event started! WizardsUntited’s notes do not say 1 hour only 1/2 the time with Master Notes. UGH

Is it just me or is the TTD brewing not reflecting the reduced time?

So, it is now the 28th of June and the text is still saying that Tonic of trace detection needs 1h to brew. Somehow, the Hub isn’t really keeping up with the game anymore.

I’m currently on vacation with my family who I haven’t seen in 6 months. I posted on Twitter immediately about the correction. In every article my team posts here, we encourage readers to follow us on social media for the most updated information because it takes about 10 seconds and a phone to send out a tweet, but more time and effort to publish and update articles.
