The second week of A Weasley Predicament starts on Monday, April 19th in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite! If you want to complete this Brilliant Event as quickly as possible, these tips and tricks will help.
While writing this guide, I’ve made assumptions about players interested in these tips. You’re all a bunch of nerds! Just kidding.
On a serious note, I assume that: 1) You are willing to spend Gold to complete tasks quickly. 2) You have access to Points of Interest in the game such as Inns and Greenhouses. 3) Speed is your primary goal.
You can also refer back to the typical Brilliant Event guide, with general advice for completing tasks without spending Gold.

What resources do you need before the Brilliant Event begins?
What actions should you take in the game to complete the Brilliant Event quickly?
This guide will answer those questions.
First, for a quick reference to the tasks, take a look at XpectoGo’s infographics.
Keep in mind that in addition to the Brilliant Foundables, Foundables that are guarded by Gnomes will also be boosted. They are:
- Acromantula Eggs
- Sorting Hat
- Quidditch Fan Luna Lovegood
- Beater’s Bat
How to Prepare for A Weasley Predicament Part 2
While the general prep work will continue to be the same, players don’t need to do as much specific prep work for this Brilliant Event.
Not all players will be able to do everything on this list. However, the more you do, the easier it will be to finish A Weasley Predicament Part 2 quickly. Note that these recommendations are based on prioritizing speed, both for prep and for the event itself.
- Max out your Spell Energy
- Max out your Trace Charms
- Stockpile 8-12 Tonics for Trace Detection
- Stockpile 2 Baruffio’s Brain Elixirs
- Stockpile 20 Gifts that give high Wizarding XP
- Unlock certain SOS Training nodes (See next section below)
- Coordinate with other players to do Wizarding Challenges at a set time
To improve your Brilliant Event speed run, you want to decrease the brewing time for Potions and increase the effects of Potions. Unlock as many of these nodes as possible.

How to Complete A Weasley Predicament Part 2 Quickly
Start brewing 2 Potions before the event begins. Carefully time your brewing so that the first Potion will be nearly complete when the event begins. Once the event has begun, use Master Notes to complete the brewing cycle and then immediately use Master Notes on the second Potion. The second Potion should be either a Healing Potion or a regular Exstimulo Potion.
Plan out your schedule so that you are somewhere with a good Trace density when the Brilliant Event begins. It’s better if you’re near at least one Inn.
Ensure that you have space in your inventory for Ingredients and Portkeys before the event begins.
Remember to avoid visiting the Brilliant Registry page until the 2nd set of tasks. The easiest way to do this is to stop returning a particular Brilliant Foundable after you reach 19 of it. If you have the Brilliant Puking Pastilles Display or Brilliant Proprietor George Weasley ready to place, place them before the event begins. Otherwise, if you return one of them you will automatically be taken to the Brilliant Registry Page and use up your saved Brilliant Family XP.
Tap through the dialogue. Visit the Assignments page. Some players experience bugs if they do event tasks without seeing the tasks first.
If you want, use regular Exstimulo Potions on Brilliant Foundables to return them more quickly.
A Weasley Predicament Part 2 – Task 1
If you followed the Potion brewing advice above, you will already have a Potion that is nearly complete. Use Master Notes on that Potion to complete its cycle, then immediately use Master Notes on the next Potion in your queue. Queue up 6 more short Potions (Healing Potions and/or regular Exstimulo Potions) by using your standard Cauldron and renting a Cauldron for 15 Gold.
Use Tonics for Trace Detection to return all of the required Brilliant Weasley Clock Foundables. Collect 3 Ingredients and/or Portmanteaus from the Map while your Tonic is running.
Finish the first set of tasks, and begin the second set.
A Weasley Predicament Part 2 – Task 2
Visit the Registry page for A Weasley Predicament. Collect the Brilliant Runestones.
How long it takes to collect the required 6 Brilliant Runestones depends on your Brilliant Registry status after the first week. You might need to keep returning Brilliant Foundables in order to earn the necessary Brilliant Family XP. You can also do Wizarding Challenges with Brilliant A Weasley Predicament Runestones.
In order to get 2 Great Casts, focus on casting the spell quickly. Sacrificing some accuracy for speed often helps players get more Great and Masterful Casts. I personally play with a stylus, which I find helps me to get more Great and Masterful Casts than I can with my finger.
Use Tonics for Trace Detection to reveal enough Foundables guarded by Gnomes.
Finish the second set of tasks, and begin the third set.
A Weasley Predicament Part 2 – Task 3
Collect all the Potions that are brewing, spending Gold to finish them more quickly. The combination of the Potion you began brewing before the event with the 6 additional Potions you queued up during Task 1 will give you the 7 Potions needed for this task.
Use Tonics for Trace Detection and return 12 Brilliant Proprietor Fred Weasley Foundables.
Whenever the Map is clear of needed Brilliant Proprietor Fred Weasley Foundables, do Wizarding Challenges. Ruins V to Tower III usually give 3-4 Foes per Challenge, and you can defeat them fairly quickly.
After every 2-3 Wizarding Challenges, return to the Map and look for Brilliant Proprietor Fred Weasley Foundables.
Finish the third set of tasks, and begin the fourth set.
A Weasley Predicament Part 2 – Task 4
In order to gain Wizarding XP more quickly, drink a Baruffio’s Brain Elixir before doing Wizarding Challenges. If you are able to coordinate with friends, a few rounds in Dark Chambers will be enough to gain the required 7000 Wizarding XP. Otherwise, stick to a Chamber that you feel comfortable in.
Use Tonics for Trace Detection and return Brilliant Foundables until you have collected 15 Mysterious Note Pieces.
In order to perform 2 Masterful Flipendos, focus on casting the spell quickly, as stated in the advice for Task 2. Once again, a stylus has worked wonders for me. Do not get discouraged, though. Many of the boosted Foundables require Flipendo, so you will have many chances to get your Masterful Casts.
A Weasley Predicament Part 2 Bonus Assignment
If necessary, drink another Baruffio’s Brain Elixir. Open up to 20 Gifts, prioritizing Gifts that give a high amount of Wizarding XP. If you have any Portkeys ready to open, open those too. Click on a single Wrackspurt and back out.
You might earn the 12,500 Wizarding XP just from Gifts and Portkeys.
If you still need Wizarding XP, use a Baruffio’s Brain Elixir as well as a Tonic for Trace Detection. Stack 3 Dark Detectors on an Inn. Prioritize any Traces with red beams (Severe and Emergency), along with all Brilliant Traces. Use your Trace Charm on 2-3 Traces with red beams. Drink Exstimulo Potions and/or Dawdle Draughts in order to use 15 Potions.
You will most likely need 2-3 Tonics for Trace Detection to return 45 Brilliant Foundables and 35 Foundables guarded by Gnomes.
In order to defeat 15 Formidable Foes in Wizarding Challenges, solo Challenges in Ruins III to Tower I so that you’re not competing with other players for the Foes.
