Will my Android need to have AR Core to play Wizards Unite because of the AR features in the game?

Hey ho! No, you won’t have to have an AR capable phone to play the game. Niantic has confirmed that they plan to support a wide variety of devices people play on and that AR won’t be required to play (any AR, includes AR core).
Folks at IGN did mention that AR is the most exciting aspect of the game, but I think most people will play with AR off to preserve battery life.
