Does swirling one’s finger in the spell vortex really increase the catch rate or is it just a placebo that gives you something to do while awaiting the animation to finish? Having tried this, I feel it is not really doing anything but just giving you the illusion of helping. However, I have friends who swear it improves the catch rate. Anyone have any stats to either back up or refute?
