This just in! According to the Wizarding World team, a new Harry Potter mobile game is in development. This addition to the magical world of Harry Potter gaming will be a puzzle game for mobile devices.

Over the years, the Harry Potter fans have always been excited by Harry Potter board games, puzzles, quizzes, and brainteasers. We will relish the opportunity to challenge ourselves with a new Harry Potter puzzle game!

New Harry Potter Mobile Game Details

The new game is said to be a combination of three things: puzzles, mischief, and a lot of magic.

All of these are essential themes in the books, so a combination of the three in a new Harry Potter mobile game is perfect.

Puzzles made reading the book a bit more interesting, giving the reader a chance to solve it before the main trio did it.

Mischief always added to the fun in the books and movies.

And magic is the undisputed core of the Wizarding World.

Insights on the Game Developer

This Harry Potter puzzle game is being developed by the San Francisco based developer, Zynga, as a partnership with Portkey Games. These developers were behind major hits such as Zynga poker and Farmville Saga.

The new Harry Potter mobile game will be under the label of Portkey Games, similar to Hogwarts Mystery and Wizards Unite.

Possible Gameplay Mechanics

The announcement from Wizarding World describes this game as a Match-3 game. You also might know these games as Tile-Matching games. Candy Crush is a famous example of a Match-3 game.

We otherwise know very little about the game. However, we could see some of our favorite mischief-makers in one way or another!

  • The Marauders: Moony/Remus Lupin, Wormtail/Peter Pettigrew, Padfoot/Sirius Black, and Prongs/James Potter
  • Nymphadora Tonks
  • The Weasley Twins
  • Peeves
  • Even the Golden Trio themselves: Harry, Hermione, and Ron

The game should be in beta soon, and we will be sure to update you on the latest advancements.
