Wizards Unite News

As the 2020s continue to provide challenges for us all, the developers at Harry Potter: Wizards Unite have come up with a perfect distraction – jumping into Newt Scamander’s memories of the 1920s! Pick up your wands and prepare yourself for new, century-old adventures, coming soon to Wizards Unite!

Thank you Niantic and WB Games for providing this information early so that we could create this guide.

UPDATE: August 18-20, 2021 will be the new dates of the first event. A 1920s Wizarding World Convergence will provide you with new content from a completely different point in time!

Three New Registry Pages!

There will be a new Registry family – 1920s Wizarding World – with three new Registry pages, featuring characters and creatures from Newt’s Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them and its film franchise. The pages – Newt’s Menagerie, Circus Arcanus, and Paris Street – will each have four images to place. We saw a version of the Circus Arcanus during the Circus Calamitous Brilliant Event in March 2020, but the new pages will clearly be redesigned versions.

There’s no word yet on whether players will be able to prestige these pages in the same way as others, or if you will see the Foundables outside of the Convergences, so check back for updates. When we know more, you’ll know more!

Three New Portkey Portmanteaus!

Any time there is a 1920s Wizarding World Convergence, you will have the chance to collect and unlock unique Portmanteaus… as long as you insert a Key before the timer runs out! If you have not inserted a Key, the Portmanteau will disappear shortly after the Convergence ends. So store up those Silver Keys in order to open as many as you can.

Along with other rewards, each 1920s Portkey will grant you access to a window into the past through a new augmented reality Encounter.

Want to explore secrets hidden from the Muggle world? Hop into Newt’s Suitcase and see what quirky beasts lie inside.

Intrigued about the magical government of the United States? Take a look around the MACUSA lobby.

Feeling curious and want to see fabled magical beasts perform? Visit the Circus Arcanus for a rare display of artistry that will bring new meaning to the term Roaring Twenties.

After the dragon event I have 6 silver keys and the drop rate in game is terrible for keys so this just sounds like a cash grab event to me. Glad to see they are adding content but the resource burn is painful unless you spend money on the game.

I’m not at all excited about this, until they fix the Portkey bug. And Adventure Sync.

Ummmm….. glad to see the new stuff, however if I’m reading this right, it doesn’t matter what portkeys we pickup, as they will disappear at the end of the event if we don’t have a key in them? The dragon event knocked me down to silver keys in the 30’s and Now they are in the 40’s so I guess it is doable. I have the dragon pages gold, so I will have to save them for this type of events now.

Opening energy gifts now crashes the game.

I just read in the forums that this event is being postponed due to the bugs with the latest update.
