My fellow witches and wizards, this is it.
The final Brilliant Event in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.
The Battle for Secrecy Brilliant Event Part 2 will begin immediately after Part 1 ends, running from December 26-31, 2021, starting and ending at 11am PT.
Note: Thank you Niantic and WB Games for providing this information early so Wizards Unite Hub could create this event guide.
Once again, this Brilliant Event will only be 5 days, but the tasks have actually been reduced to make it easier to complete. Also, both Restricted Section Books and Spell Books are boosted for anyone trying to finish SOS Training or all 3 Professions.
For a personal update, read through the end of this article.
The Battle for Secrecy Brilliant Event Part 2 Guide
This final Brilliant Event has been adapted so you can play at home.
As a reminder, Part 1 Portkeys will give you Part 1 rewards anytime you open them, even if you wait to open them during Part 2.
If you don’t want to walk off Portkeys, you can also complete the Bonus Assignment.
Find Brilliant Event preparation tips at the end of the article. These are particularly helpful for newer players, if any of you are still around.

Brilliant Event Tasks
Returning players will be familiar with the tasks. Quantities have all been reduced to accommodate fewer days, during the holidays.
The first quest requires collecting 1 Potion. You can brew this Potion in advance and then collect it as soon as the Brilliant Event begins. Don’t do Master Notes on your next Potion until you reach the second quest.
Do not visit the Brilliant Registry until you reach the second quest. You need to collect Brilliant Runestones here.
Also, stop returning Brilliant Foundables if you reach 19 of either while doing the first quest. Once you reach 20, you’re automatically taken to the Brilliant Registry Page, which you do not want. If you forget, quickly force close the app to avoid collecting any Brilliant Runestones.
For the fourth quest, you need to place Images in the Brilliant Registry. To do this quickly, wait until you reach this quest to place any Images. Placing Images on the Part1 page will work as well, so you can prepare those in advance if you want.
The Battle for Secrecy Quest 1/4
Collecting Ingredients, Portmanteaus, or Spell Energy is pretty straightforward.
Use a Tonic for Trace Detection to find enough Brilliant Traces.
While the final task is worded to return Foundables, lately that task has been the same as recovering Fragments. If this holds true, you use a Trace Charm to earn additional Fragments and can therefore complete the task more quickly.

The Battle for Secrecy BONUS Assignment!
Make sure you wait until the Bonus Assignment task list appears to place the Brilliant Ron Weasley’s Radio Registry Image you just earned.
You’ll likely have more Images ready to place too, but if not, you’ll get them soon enough if you use another Tonic for Trace Detection to help you find the 15 Legends of Hogwarts Foundables needed in the Bonus Assignment. Just return all of the Brilliant Foundables that appear.
To earn 7,500 Wizarding XP quickly, once again, drink a Brain Elixir. Wait until you’re on the Bonus Assignment to open some Gifts, prioritizing any Extravagant Gifts and others with high Wizarding XP. This task is a smaller amount of XP than usual, and Brain Elixirs are giving triple XP, so this task is easy.

Final Thoughts
According to my notes, the event bundles have reverted back to the usual deals, which aren’t worth your Gold. Of course, if you have 20,000+ Gold you’re just dying to spend, you might as well spend it now. There’s also the possibility the bundles will be better in-game than what is listed in my notes.
What do you think of this event? How do you feel about the story ending? What predictions do you have for how everything will wrap up for the Golden Trio and Constance?

Personal Update
If you aren’t on Twitter (or Discord), you might have missed this.
Brita here. I'm having surgery tomorrow, and I'll be in the hospital for several days. I will be unable to post any #WizardsUnite updates during this time. Please follow @Xpecto_GO for game news.
— Wizards Unite Hub (@hpwuhub) December 2, 2021
On December 2, 2021, I had a small bowel resection. While this is common surgery for people who have Crohn’s Disease, it’s still major surgery. I was in the hospital for 5 days, and it took another week at home before I started feeling somewhat human again. Even now, 3 weeks after my surgery, I’m still experiencing pain and limited mobility.
Thank you to everyone who has already reached out and wished me a speedy recovery. I’m doing a lot better already, but full recovery takes 6-8 weeks.
When I scheduled my surgery, I had no idea Wizards Unite would be ending. Obviously I need to put my health first, but it’s been so hard for me to rest this month, when all I want to do is create Wizards Unite content and do livestreams.
Hopefully I can do more in January to finish this bittersweet journey with all of you.
If you would like to help me transition to new creative work in February, please fill out this brief form. Only 2 questions are mandatory, and they are multiple choice.
