Wizards, we are starting a new series on the Hub, titled History of Harry Potter, through which we aim to unearth interesting pieces from the Harry Potter franchise history. We don’t have a strict plan on the series, but we’re aiming to publish one installment weekly, running through the end of 2018. We feel it is important to remind our readers of how everything started and why we’re here nowadays. We’ll tag each article with a proper tag (History of Harry Potter) to make finding other parts of the series easy.
In our first installment, we’re sharing an interesting conversation taken from the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (part 2) Blu-ray release (November 21, 2011). Titled “A Conversation between JK Rowling and Daniel Radcliffe”, this hour long conversation talks in depth about bringing the character of Harry Potter to life, the last decade of films and how their lives have changed by the fame that they’ve both experienced.
The video is available above this article, and we invite our readers to share their opinions and thoughts in the comment section below.
- JK Rowling is an absolute badass! It was such a surprise to hear how she gave the crew more and more freedom with the movie.
- Radcliff’s struck us as surprisingly humble, and to be honest, naive, at least when it comes to the overall movie fame and expectations
- The acne discussion was so grounded and honest that it made us recall our teenage days and chuckle! It is easy to forget how much older the actors actually grew throughout the filming process.
